Bold conservation to protect more land

Aspen Valley Land Trust's Strategic Conservation Plan sets forth an ambitious goal: to grow capacity and double our conservation impact in the next decade. Thanks to your support and our strong partnerships, we are already making that vision real.

In February, AVLT, alongside our partners at Eagle County Open Space and Pitkin County Open Space & Trails, completed the landmark purchase of Three Meadows Ranch. This 4,251-acre expanse along Cottonwood Pass in Missouri Heights is one of the largest remaining intact landscapes in our region. It is a haven for wildlife, a vital watershed, and now, a permanently protected open space.

"This was a bold undertaking and we can do more bold things when we work together."
- Suzanne Stephens

Three Meadows Ranch is more than just a conservation success. It is proof of what’s possible when bold action meets strong partnerships, and a community that cares deeply about the future of our valleys.

With this acquisition, AVLT’s protected lands in the Roaring Fork and Colorado River valleys grew by nearly 10 percent. That is more than progress – it’s momentum. And it’s only possible because of supporters like you. Together, we can protect more places like this –before they’re gone. Thank you for investing in the future of Colorado’s wild and working lands.
