Natural Resource Information:
The Colorado Natural Heritage Program tracks important lands for conservation planning, many which are partially or entirely located on private property. AVLT strives to conserve land within these "Potential Conservation Areas", and holds many conservation easements that overlay or connect to these areas. View West Elks Consulting's 2005-2006 updated status reports of Potential Conservation Areas in the Roaring Fork Valley and Eastern Garfield County, or view an interactive map of AVLT's conservation easements, with a map layer devoted to Potential Conservation Areas in our region.
Information for Landowners:
If you are interested in donating a conservation easement through Aspen Valley Land Trust, download our Landowner Information Packet (below), or send an email request and we will mail you a complete packet with information about easements, consultants and AVLT. Be sure to include your mailing address in the email. Note that our conservation territory is limited to the Roaring Fork and Colorado River Valleys.
